Besides regular activities to build long term friendships, BEM churches organise various campaigns to progress toward their main goal: proclaiming the Good News to everyone. If you wish to join one of the following activities, please contact us! Please pray for these events (before, during and after)! May the Lord soften many hearts and draw His children to Him. May He also protect His workers and give them strength!

Summer campaign – Flanders “During the summer we led two camps. First of all, there was a missionary trip to Rumania that was greatly blessed. The team was fantastic and really united and we were able to experience blessings in various ways. We thank the Lord for those moments. Then there was a camp for “super-smiling children”. The camp was fully booked (15 children and 9 team members). The week was very tiring but blessed too.” – Matthias & Sabine Valenta

Summer campaign – Herstal « We were a group of 8 from the church of Herstal for our third trip to Rumania. We are continuing to work with the rehabilitation centre for young orphans. We helped with work already in progress, adapting four apartments to accommodate four more youngsters. Thanks to various gifts received for the purpose we were able to make a donation of almost € 4000 towards the project.” – Luc Salsac

Summer campaigns – Aalst “Our summer was both very busy and filled with blessings. I spent three weeks with SportQuest. It was super to see again how God uses this ministry to bring young people to Christ. The teams have been a blessing in various places this summer.” – Kurt Maeyens

Summer campaigns – Brakel “On the 28th August we organized our ninth children’s day on the theme of Noah (‘All aboard’). The day was again a blessing with the participation of a thirty-strong team (half from Brakel) and 44 children.” – Henk van Dorp

Summer campaigns – Arlon The spiritual activities of the summer of 2009 will most certainly remain engraved on the memories. I feel so moved when I think of the retreat reserved exclusively for the deaf and hard of hearing! One example among others: during the worship service, the group sang and worshipped God with enthusiasm and conviction and when the local congregation was invited to follow suit, out of the window flew the shyness and inhibitions of those who can hear well! I remember also of the ‘handicamp’ camp reserved exclusively for those who cannot usually participate in ordinary activities because of their difficulties! Congratulations to the leaders, for their devotion and dedication, zeal and warmth.” – André Cools
