Since BEM is entirely dependent on gifts from Christians, it cannot pay salaries. All bez workers have their own support coming from a home church or a group of friends who support them financially. It is not easy to find support, which is one reason why a good relationship with the home church is vital. But finances are not the main reason. Mission work is an ongoing spiritual battle, which the missionary cannot fight alone. Support in prayer, encouragement and involvement on the part of a group of brothers and sisters is absolutely vital.
