During its many years of existence, bez has tried a number of different strategies for planting churches. Each new project must adapt its method to the local context. Nowadays a team of workers seems to be the most effective. Several people with different capacities join in a church-planting process at different stages. In other places a bez worker co-operates with a group of believers from a mother church to plant a daughter church.
These strategies are often supported by short-term teams:
YEAR TEAMS are comprised of young people who are willing to give one year of their life for the Kingdom work. They participate actively in the church-planting project while receiving theory and practical training.
INTERNSHIPS Those who have theological training can participate in a church-planting project for one or two years, working alongside an experienced church planter and receiving practical training in the area of church growth, pastoral counseling and evangelism. We also welcome students for immersion internships for a few weeks.
EVANGELISM TEAMS are comprised of volunteers. They come from all over the world for one to two weeks to help in “evangelism outreaches” (literature distribution, drama, events, music, conferences, children’s work, etc.). These outreach activities help establish new contacts and make the church known in its area.
WORK TEAMS assist different ministries in renovation or building work.
